Baby Girl 1st Birthday!

Good morning, everyone!

Here's a second card for a little baby girl turning 1.

As I mentioned yesterday, kid cards are so difficult for me because I can't find a tried and true set of "kids birthday" stamps that I totally fall in love with.  If you have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments.  I need to find a good set or two.

This baby card is for a little girl!  I just love pink and green together!

Here's the inside!

Materials Used (All PTI, unless otherwise noted):
Baby Button Bits stamp set
Big Birthday Wishes stamp set (inside sentiments)
Limitless Layers: 3 1/2" Ovals
DCWV patterned paper - Nana's Nursery: Baby Girl
Autumn Rose & Stampers' Select White cardstock
New Leaf and True Black dye ink
Autumn Rose Grosgrain ribbon

Baby Boy Birthday!

Good morning, everyone!

Birthday cards for kids are a bit tough for me because I don't have a set of stamps for those youngins......lol  So, I used a cute little bee on the front of this one for a request for a little guy turning 1.

You can't see it very well in the picture, but the wings are slightly glittery.

I'm very happy with the way the inside of the card came out.

Materials Used (All PTI, unless otherwise noted):
Baby Button Bits stamp set
Honey Bees Sentiments stamp set
Big Birthday Wishes stamp set (inside sentiments)
The Paper Studio patterned paper - Four Seasons
New Leaf & Stampers' Select White cardstock
True Black dye ink
Pure Poppy Grosgrain ribbon

Summer Care Package for My Students!

Good morning, everyone!

Today I'm traveling off my beaten path to show you what I make my students at the end of the year.  It's not as crafty as a homemade card, but it's a cute idea for any teachers out there.

It's nothing special......in fact, I believe I got the idea on the internet.  I started these a few years back and I just love the message they send over the summer, so I've continued.

Take a look!
If you click to enlarge this picture,  I believe it will be large enough to read.

Here they are all together, ready for Thursday and the students' last day!

Good morning, everyone!

I'm back with an Outlawz CAS challenge for the 3rd
Sunday of May!

Your challenge this week.....
May is a very popular month for weddings here in the US.  Let's all celebrate love by creating a Clean And Simple style card focusing on something you love.  The something can be a paper line, a stamp company, a specific product or color combination, it can even be for a certain someone that you love...whatever your loving heart desires!!!  It can be any theme that you want.

At this time of year, the thing I love the most is camping!  So, a camping card it is!

Please join us at the Outlawz for this fun challenge.
You can also find other challenges for EVERY day of the week.  I'd be glad to help anyone who joins the forum and needs some help.

When you submit each of your entries with the Inlinkz tab, at the end of every month there are huge prizes to be won!!!
Go check it out!!!

I can't wait to see your cards!!!

Bridal Shower Card!

Good morning, everyone!

I am so excited over this bridal shower card.  It came as a request for a fellow teacher whose daughter has an upcoming wedding.  I had a copy of the bridal shower invitation and this was the inspiration for the card that I made.

Bridal Shower!

The post card in the back was the bridal shower invitation.  The bride's wedding colors are coral and brown, so this is what I came up with as a card for the bride from her mom.

Here's the inside sentiment.

Materials Used (All PTI, unless otherwise noted):
Beautiful Blooms I stamp set
Love & Marraige stamp set
Half & Half stamp set
Melon Berry and Stampers' Select White cardstock
Smokey Shadow & Classic Kraft dye ink
VersaFine ink - Vintage Sepia

SSD #129 Sketch Challenge

Good Morning, everyone!!!

Welcome to SSD's Sketch Challenge 129!
We are so excited to share with you our newest release.............Grapeful!!!

Today is the 2nd day of our Blog Hop with the Twinery DT!  If you arrived here from Jen Carter's blog you are in the right spot!

There are several prizes to be won!  The Twinery will be giving away a chance to win "Colorful Bunch Sampler Pack" to those who visit each blog on the hop and leave a comment.  Skipping Stones Designs will be giving away the new Grapeful set along with a surprise set (both sets to one winner).

Wining with friends!
To make the twine flower, I used a scrap piece of cardstock about 1.5" wide to wrap my twine around.  Then I laid it on a little piece of twine the same color and tied it in the center.  I flattened it out and shaped it into a perfect flower.

Here's the sketch for this week!

Are you ready to get inky?
Are you ready to create something for the challenge?  Then head on over to Katarina Damm-Blomberg's blog and continue commenting so you have a chance to win a prize!
